Cost of Moving from Maryland to Virginia
When considering the cost of hiring movers to facilitate a move from Maryland to Virginia, several factors come into play that influence the total expenditure. Primarily, the distance between the two states, typically ranging from 50 to 200 miles depending on the specific locations, is a key determinant. Moving companies generally charge on a per-mile basis for long-distance relocations. On average, the cost per mile can range between $0.75 to $2.50. However, this is just one part of the equation. The size of the household or the volume of belongings also substantially impacts the overall cost, with charges often being assessed by total weight or cubic footage; a standard two-bedroom residence may incur moving fees ranging from $1,500 to $4,000. Additional services, such as packing, unpacking, and special handling of fragile or valuable items, typically come with added costs. Packing services can add an extra $300 to $500, and moving insurance is another critical consideration that may add several hundred dollars more to ensure the security of your belongings. Seasonal demand fluctuations can also affect pricing, with peak moving seasons such as summer incurring higher rates. Therefore, it’s advisable to request detailed, binding estimates from multiple reputable moving companies to compare services and pricing comprehensively. By doing so, you can ensure a transparent understanding of costs, avoid potential hidden fees, and plan your budget effectively for a seamless transition from Maryland to Virginia.

Byron,Juan, & Teddy showed attention to the pack/ load process. They would ask me where each piece goes & labeled so when unloading they knew exactly which area. All demonstrated professional communication & asking how we liked placement of items. Every item arrived perfect, no breaks or damage. Definitely would want this crew again.

I have moved several times in the last 10 years and my best experience was with Agility Van Lines. Everyone was accommodating I changed my move date a couple of times and they were flexible. I did an interstate move and had all of my items intact in a few days. The movers were great and the staff was as well. I highly recommend hiring them for your next move

Agility Van Lines is highly recommended (first time using) for both the 'front-end' setup, Quotes & follow-up, and then the IMPORTANT 'back-end' of loading/unloading your personal possessions. Shane & Denise were amazing in staying in touch for working out setup dates, the finalized Quote & follow-up for the Moves. I think what impressed me the most was the Crew assigned to my Interstate 2-day Move w/ Richard (Foreman), Ian & Ced(rick) who really, really ROCKED!!!! They were professional, courteous, polite, friendly & funny (lol). They did such a AWESOME job for Pick-up & Delivery over the 2-days and I felt really comfortable knowing my personal belongings were in their capable hands until final destination. I have already recommended both Agility Van Line (& request Richard's Crew) to my friends
